StudioDocumentation is a critical step in the studio design process. The volume of models, studies, and experiments is more than any desk could hold so the photos are what we are able to carry ideas past the actual object itself.
This collection contains a few proposals as well as a few photos from the previous years of studio production. |
Personal ProjectsThese are the projects that I really enjoyed making enough to take them from plain sketched to something hard-lined in the slightest.

PolymersI worked on the production of polymer laminated sheets which would later be applied to windows of a Biennial pavilion on Cornell's Arts Quad. The photos are the polymer we work with throughout the process. More images, descriptions, and general information will come soon.

Digital CeramicsIn Fall 2013, I took the architectural elective of Digital Ceramics taught by Jenny Sabin. This class combined the modern tools of parametric design, 3d modelling, and programming with the classic method of slip casting. The proposal was to be of a ceramic screen system with a small group of three students- Nico Azel, Cole Skaggs, and myself. To start we were to find a generative strategy. Our group decided upon the web logics of an orb spider web. For the video of this analyses or the code behind these first decisions, please ask, I really, really love explaining what we did.
The screen started to manifest itself in the form of hexagons which were varied using the coded decisions. We were able to produce three sample units for the final critique and a rendering of the possible screen idea. |
