Adirondacks Ice Climbing and Mountaineering
Cornell Outdoor Education teaches a course on ice climbing and very basic mountaineering skills. As a relatively experienced rock climbing instructor, but not so experienced ice climbing instructor, I was brought on as the photographer. The students had never previously ice climbed or snowshoed, in fact I think some of them had barely seen snow. Their progress over the three days was truly impressive and every student came out with at least a basic understanding an many successes under their belt.
